In an unusual wedding celebration, brothers Rohil Khan and Sahir Khan of Bhulla Ka Bass village in Alwar district arranged helicopter transport for their newly married brides in Rajasthan. The siblings, who tied the knot with women from Sheetal village, invested substantial sums to organize the aerial departure as per their spouses' requests.
Following the marriage ceremonies, both couples boarded the same helicopter to complete their wedding proceedings. The unconventional mode of transport marked a departure from traditional wedding customs in the Mewat region, which straddles Rajasthan and Haryana.
The helicopter arrangement generated considerable local interest, with hundreds of villagers gathering to witness the aerial takeoff. Many residents photographed and filmed the helicopter as it prepared for departure, transforming the wedding event into a spectacle that drew widespread attention in the rural area.
The extravagant wedding arrangements reflect a growing trend among affluent families in parts of rural India to incorporate modern elements into traditional ceremonies, blending age-old customs with contemporary modes of celebration.
