BRS Alleges Government Land Grab for Revenue Generation

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has levelled accusations against the government, asserting that authorities deliberately included private lands under Section 22A of land laws solely to generate revenue through acquisition and subsequent monetization. The opposition party contends that the measure represents an abuse of regulatory authority intended for genuine public welfare projects.

According to BRS representatives, the government has circumvented proper procedures by classifying lands under the contentious section without adequate justification or adherence to legal safeguards. The party argues that legitimate landowners have been disadvantaged through this approach, which prioritizes financial gain over adherence to constitutional principles governing property rights.
