BRS attacks Congress over SCCL's declining performance, Dasara bonus delay

The Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has launched a sharp critique of the Congress government, attributing the recent decline in South Central Coalfields Limited's (SCCL) performance to what it terms as misguided administrative decisions. The opposition party argues that policy changes implemented by the current administration have adversely impacted the state-owned coal mining enterprise's operational efficiency and financial health.

BRS leader Harish Rao has been particularly vocal in his opposition, highlighting what he describes as governance failures on multiple fronts. Among his chief complaints is the government's failure to announce the customary Dasara bonus for SCCL employees, a benefit traditionally disbursed during the festival season.

Rao contended that the non-announcement of the bonus reflects broader administrative neglect affecting the coal company and its workforce. The BRS leader has used the issue to question the Congress government's commitment to both employee welfare and the public sector enterprise's viability.

The criticism comes amid ongoing scrutiny of SCCL's operational metrics, with the BRS attributing recent performance shortfalls to administrative policy shifts rather than market or sectoral headwinds. The party has called for a course correction in government policies affecting the coal mining sector.
