BRS claims CM pressured Danam to challenge disqualification in court

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Monday accused the Chief Minister of engineering a dramatic shift in the legal approach of party legislator Danam Nagender regarding his disqualification case. According to the BRS, Nagender had initially decided against approaching the Supreme Court but was pressured into filing a petition by the ruling administration.

The party alleged that the intervention was part of a broader political strategy to undermine the BRS and weaken its legislative strength. BRS leaders claimed the Chief Minister's involvement in the matter demonstrated a pattern of political interference in judicial proceedings affecting opposition party members.

Danam Nagender, a four-term legislator, faced disqualification proceedings following his defection to the ruling party earlier this year. The BRS contended that the legislator's sudden decision to seek Supreme Court intervention contradicted his earlier position and suggested external political pressure.
