The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has accused Ranga Reddy, a 70-year-old Member of Legislative Assembly from Ibrahimpatnam, of inappropriate conduct toward girl students on a public bus. The allegations surfaced following circulation of video footage showing the MLA engaged in conversation with two female students aboard a Telangana government bus operated under the 'Mahalakshmi' scheme, which provides free transportation for women.

The scheme, rolled out by the current Congress administration, has been positioned as a flagship women's welfare initiative. However, the emergence of the video has prompted criticism from opposition quarters, with the BRS questioning the circumstances surrounding the interaction captured in the footage.

The specific nature of the alleged inappropriate conduct remains the subject of competing interpretations, with the BRS claiming the video provides evidence of improper behavior. Officials and authorities in Telangana have yet to issue formal statements regarding the matter or confirm whether any investigation has been initiated.

The incident underscores ongoing debates in the state regarding the safety and conduct standards on public transportation services, particularly those designated for women passengers. The video's viral circulation on social media platforms has amplified public discourse around the allegations, though no formal complaint has been publicly confirmed at this stage.
