BRS leader urges renaming of Mamnoor airport after Rani Rudrama Devi

A senior functionary of the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has proposed renaming Mamnoor airport after Rani Rudrama Devi, one of medieval India's most celebrated women rulers. The suggestion seeks to honour the Kakatiya dynasty queen who governed the region during the 12th century and is remembered for her administrative acumen and military prowess.

Rani Rudrama Devi's reign marked a significant period in Telangana's history, during which she expanded territorial holdings and strengthened the Kakatiya empire. Her legacy continues to be celebrated in the region, and naming public infrastructure after her would serve as a tribute to her contributions to Indian history.
