BRS to launch week-long protests against Telangana govt failures

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) will mount a sustained campaign of protests across Telangana from September 2 to 8, according to a statement from the party's works president on Tuesday. The week-long agitation has been timed to coincide with the Congress government completing 1,000 days in office under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. BRS officials said the protests are designed to mobilize public opinion against what the party characterizes as failures in governance, service delivery, and policy implementation. The party has indicated that demonstrations will be staged across multiple districts and municipalities throughout the state during the seven-day period. The initiative represents a significant push by the opposition to consolidate anti-incumbency sentiment ahead of upcoming electoral cycles in the region.
