The Crown Prince of Brunei visited Marina Bay's S.E.A. Aquarium as part of his itinerary, which also encompassed Punggol Digital District, the nation's emerging tech hub in the eastern region. The visit underscored Singapore's position as a centre for innovation and marine science in Southeast Asia.
A significant portion of the Crown Prince's schedule included a tour of SAFTI City, the Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute's main facility. There, he observed military simulations designed to replicate battlefield conditions, reflecting shared security interests between the two Brunei and Singapore.
The five-day visit, which concluded on Wednesday, provided the Crown Prince with an extensive overview of Singapore's development across multiple sectors, from tourism and technology to defence capabilities. Such high-level visits typically strengthen bilateral ties and foster closer regional cooperation among ASEAN member states.
The tour aligns with ongoing diplomatic engagements between Brunei and Singapore, neighbours in Southeast Asia with established trade and cultural connections. The Crown Prince's attendance at various facilities demonstrates continued interest in Singapore's strategic initiatives and technological advancement.
