Budget airport access: APSRTC launches affordable Bhogapuram shuttle service

The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has rolled out a dedicated bus service connecting the city to Bhogapuram International Airport, providing budget-conscious travellers with a reliable public transport option. The new Aero Express routes aim to ease airport accessibility while keeping passenger costs minimal.

Twenty buses operate across two routes originating from Old Gajuwaka, maintaining frequent departures throughout the day. Services commence at 4:30 a.m. and continue until 10:30 p.m., with buses departing at half-hour intervals to accommodate both early morning and evening travel schedules. The corporation estimates the journey duration at approximately two hours, factoring in regular stops along the designated routes.

With fares kept below ₹400 per ticket, the service positions itself as a cost-effective alternative to radio taxis and private vehicle options for airport-bound passengers. The twice-daily operational window and consistent scheduling are designed to serve both arriving and departing passengers effectively. APSRTC's initiative reflects efforts to integrate the newly commissioned airport with the city's public transport network, enhancing connectivity for the broader travelling public.
