Bukidnon woman missing since Sunday found dead in river
A 49-year-old mother from Malaybalay City who disappeared early Sunday morning was discovered deceased in a river on Monday. Authorities recovered the body from shallow waters in Barangay 9.

MALAYBALAY CITY — Rescue personnel recovered the body of a 49-year-old woman from the Sawaga River in Barangay 9 here on Monday morning, more than 24 hours after she went missing from her home.
The victim, identified by authorities as a resident of Barangay Casisang, was reported missing after leaving her residence early Sunday. Family members notified local officials when she failed to return home.
Personnel from the Malaybalay City Police conducted an immediate search operation following the missing person report. The body was discovered floating in the shallow waters of the Sawaga River on Monday morning.
Authorities have not yet disclosed findings regarding the circumstances surrounding her death. Further investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
