Bus plunges into 70-meter ravine in Nueva Vizcaya; mechanical failure suspected

The bus departed Santiago City in Isabela bound for Dagupan City in Pangasinan when it encountered difficulties while ascending a sharp incline in Diadi town, Nueva Vizcaya, according to police reports. The vehicle plunged approximately 70 meters into the ravine alongside the national road at dawn on Wednesday, September 16.
Authorities attributed the incident to a mechanical malfunction that reportedly affected the bus's ability to maintain control while navigating the challenging terrain. Emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene to conduct rescue and recovery operations.
