The Cabinet has endorsed a proposal from the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports to publish the Sri Lanka Cricket Bill in the official government Gazette as a precursor to parliamentary debate and approval.
The decision, taken at a recent Cabinet meeting, represents a key procedural milestone for legislation intended to reshape governance structures within Sri Lankan cricket. Publication in the Gazette constitutes the formal notification step required before the Bill can be tabled before Parliament for legislative consideration.
