MANILA — The reassignment of Cabinet officials will proceed without affecting the budget commitments of the Department of Transportation and Department of Public Works and Highways, according to Senator JV Ejercito.
Ejercito made the statement as Secretary Vince Dizon prepares to return to the helm of the Department of Transportation, resuming leadership of the agency he previously headed from February through September 2025. Secretary Giovanni "Banoy" Lopez will assume a post in the organizational shift.
The senator's reassurance comes as the two agencies continue managing critical infrastructure and transport initiatives essential to the country's development agenda. Both departments maintain substantial budget allocations that are key to infrastructure projects across the nation.
The Cabinet reshuffle reflects ongoing adjustments within the administration's leadership structure, with Ejercito emphasizing that operational continuity and fiscal planning remain intact amid the personnel changes.
