Train services on the MRT Putrajaya Line have been disrupted following the theft of power supply cables, resulting in operational delays across the line. The incident has created congestion at multiple stations, particularly affecting commuters during peak travel periods.

Three stations—UPM, 16 Sierra, and Putrajaya Sentral—are experiencing the most severe delays as train frequencies and service reliability have been compromised by the infrastructure damage. Passengers at these stations have reported longer waiting times between train arrivals.

The cable theft has forced authorities to manage reduced service capacity while repairs are undertaken. Transit officials have advised commuters to allow additional travel time when using the Putrajaya Line and to consider alternative routes where possible.

MRT management has not yet provided an estimated timeline for full service restoration. The incident underscores ongoing security challenges affecting the transit system's critical infrastructure components.
