CAG and IIT Madras partner on digital audit certification programme

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras have unveiled a joint certification programme designed to equip audit professionals with expertise in examining digital systems and technology infrastructure.

The certification course addresses a growing need within India's audit ecosystem as government and public sector organisations increasingly rely on digital platforms, cloud computing, and automated systems for operations and service delivery. By formalising training in this specialised domain, the partnership seeks to ensure audit standards keep pace with technological advancement.

The programme will enable auditors to develop competencies in assessing cybersecurity measures, data integrity, system controls, and compliance frameworks specific to digital environments.
