MANILA — Minimum wage adjustments in Calabarzon and Central Luzon are moving forward in the deliberation process, with regional wage boards preparing to take up the matter, the Department of Labor and Employment said Wednesday.
Acting Secretary Francis Tolentino indicated that discussions are well underway, particularly in Calabarzon, which he characterized as being in an advanced stage of the review process. The official did not provide specific timelines for when formal wage board hearings would commence in either region.
The announcement follows the pattern of staggered wage increase deliberations across the country's regions, with the DOLE coordinating discussions among labor, business, and government representatives.
