The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB 4A) has approved Wage Order No. IVA-23, authorizing a daily wage increase of up to P45 for minimum wage earners across the Calabarzon region, which encompasses Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon.

The wage adjustment will take effect on October 26, bringing relief to over 1.56 million workers in the region. The increase represents a significant development in labor relations as the board balances worker welfare with business viability across the region's vital manufacturing and industrial sectors.

The Calabarzon region, one of the country's most economically productive areas, is home to numerous export-oriented industries and manufacturing facilities. The wage order follows ongoing consultations between labor groups, employers, and government representatives on the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board.

Workers and employers in the region are expected to comply with the new wage standards effective from the implementation date. Covered establishments have been advised to adjust their payroll systems accordingly to ensure seamless implementation of the wage increase.
