Calabarzon police dismantle drug operations worth P13.3 million

Law enforcement agencies operating across Calabarzon provinces conducted an intensive anti-narcotics campaign that yielded substantial results, according to police reports released Monday. Between August 31 and September 6, officers from Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon provinces dismantled drug trafficking networks and confiscated narcotics valued at P13.3 million.

The regional police operations resulted in 181 separate drug busts across the five-province region, leading to the arrest of 228 suspects. The coordinated enforcement effort reflects intensified efforts by authorities to combat the drug trade in the densely populated areas surrounding Metro Manila.

The Calabarzon region, which encompasses major industrial zones and residential areas, has remained a focal point for anti-drug operations. The seizures and arrests underscore ongoing police commitment to dismantling drug distribution networks and apprehending individuals involved in the narcotics trade at various levels.

Details regarding the types and quantities of drugs seized, as well as specifics on the arrested suspects, were not immediately available. Police authorities indicated that investigation into the cases would proceed under standard legal protocols.
