Cambodia dismantles 700+ cyberscam operations in major crackdown

Cambodia's government has intensified its campaign against organised cybercrime, dismantling over 700 facilities used to orchestrate large-scale online scams targeting victims across the region and beyond. The coordinated operation has resulted in the detention of nearly 30,000 individuals suspected of involvement in fraudulent schemes.

The cyberscam compounds, many operating from residential and commercial locations, have been identified as hubs for coordinating international fraud networks. These operations typically target vulnerable individuals through romance scams, investment fraud, and other deceptive schemes conducted via digital platforms.
