Alexander Ackles-Dold, a cancer survivor, has channeled his childhood hospital experiences into a compassionate initiative to support young patients battling the disease. Drawing on memories of the kindness he received during his own treatment, Ackles-Dold established a LEGO donation drive benefiting the pediatric oncology clinic in Southlake.
The campaign has proven remarkably successful, collecting 573 LEGO mini-figures while raising $2,575 in monetary donations. The figures and funds are intended to provide therapeutic engagement and psychological comfort to children undergoing cancer treatment, offering them moments of normalcy and enjoyment during their hospital stays.
The Ackles-Dold family continues to gather additional contributions as the initiative expands.
