Chief Master Sergeant Christine Intano of the Carrascal Municipal Police Station received the Outstanding Senior Investigator award during a national summit held in Zamboanga City, according to officials with the Police Regional Office in the Caraga region.
The recognition underscores Intano's contributions to investigating sensitive cases involving vulnerable populations, a priority area for Philippine law enforcement agencies facing persistent challenges in addressing crimes against women and children.
The award was presented during the national summit, which brought together law enforcement officials from across the country to discuss strategies and best practices in handling protection cases. Regional police officials highlighted Intano's selection as a reflection of the Caraga region's commitment to strengthening victim advocacy and case investigation standards.
The Carrascal Municipal Police Station, where Intano is stationed, serves a municipality in Surigao del Sur province in the Mindanao region.
