SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — The observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day across Caraga (Region 13) unfolded peacefully and in an orderly manner, with more than 350,000 people visiting cemeteries and memorial parks throughout the region, the Police Regional Office-13 (PRO-13) reported Tuesday.
Brigadier General Rolindo Suguilon, PRO-13 director, said no major security incidents or disturbances were recorded during the religious observance, which drew large crowds to burial grounds across the region's six provinces.
Police personnel were deployed to key cemeteries and memorial parks to manage the influx of visitors and ensure public safety during the traditionally busy holiday period. The successful security operations reflect ongoing efforts by regional police to maintain order during major national observances when cemetery visits surge significantly.
The peaceful Undas period in Caraga contrasts with concerns raised in previous years about crowd management and safety during the annual holiday when Filipinos traditionally honor deceased family members.
