Cavite motorcycle collision claims one life, leaves another critically hurt
A head-on collision between two motorcycles on a Cavite highway Thursday evening resulted in one fatality and serious injuries to another rider. The crash occurred in Indang town as one driver attempted to overtake a vehicle on the national road.

A 57-year-old motorcyclist was killed and a 22-year-old rider sustained critical injuries in a traffic accident along the national highway in Barangay Calumpang Cerca, Indang, Cavite on Thursday night, according to police reports.
The collision occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m. when the older rider attempted to overtake another vehicle traveling on the busy thoroughfare. The maneuver resulted in a head-on impact between the two motorcycles, immediately causing severe injuries to both operators.
Emergency responders transported the younger rider to a nearby medical facility for treatment of serious injuries. The older rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the fatal overtaking attempt remain under investigation by local police authorities.
The incident marks another fatal motorcycle accident on Philippine roads, highlighting ongoing concerns about traffic safety and rider behavior on major highways in the CALABARZON region.
