Cayetano siblings expected back in Philippines this weekend
National Bureau of Investigation Director Melvin Matibag said Friday that Senators Alan Peter Cayetano and Pia Cayetano, who reportedly departed the country earlier this week, are expected to return over the weekend.

Matibag disclosed that he had received information indicating the siblings would arrive back in the Philippines on September 12 or 13. The pair were reportedly spotted boarding a flight to Singapore and subsequently arriving at Changi Airport, according to earlier reports.
The senators' departure this week had drawn attention from authorities monitoring their movements. Matibag's statement provides the first official indication of their planned return to the country.
The Cayetano siblings have been prominent figures in Philippine politics, with both serving in the Senate. Their brief overseas trip comes amid various political activities and legislative matters in the chamber.
