MANILA — Lino Cayetano, recently named Secretary of the Presidential Communications Office, said Tuesday that political disagreements with his siblings Alan and Pia will not interfere with the family's dedication to government service.
Cayetano emphasized that despite their differing political positions, the family remains committed to serving the Filipino people. He stressed that personal disputes should not become obstacles to pursuing the administration's agenda and advocated for a more united political approach within President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s coalition.
The PCO secretary called on supporters of the administration to transcend traditional political divides and work collaboratively toward common goals. He underscored the importance of shared values in governance, particularly those aligned with programs designed to benefit ordinary Filipinos.
Cayetano's statement comes amid longstanding reports of political differences among members of the prominent Cayetano family. His remarks signal an effort to separate personal family dynamics from his official responsibilities in the communications sector.
