CBRE establishes global AI Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad

CBRE, one of the world's largest commercial real estate services firms, has announced plans to establish a global Agentic AI Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad, recognising India's growing importance in the company's technology strategy. The centre will operate as a joint venture with CBRE's existing operations in Dallas, creating a distributed model for developing and deploying artificial intelligence solutions.

The initiative comes as enterprises across sectors increasingly seek to automate complex business processes. CBRE has set an ambitious target to automate 30 critical enterprise workflows within the next nine to 12 months, leveraging agentic AI capabilities—autonomous systems designed to perform tasks with minimal human intervention.

The Hyderabad facility is expected to focus on frontend development and user-facing applications, complementing backend infrastructure maintained by the Dallas team. This division of labour reflects India's established reputation as a technology services hub and the availability of skilled AI and software engineering talent in the region.

The move aligns with broader industry trends, as multinational companies increasingly establish dedicated AI centres of excellence in India to drive innovation and cost-effective development. CBRE's investment underscores growing confidence in India's technological capabilities and its potential to support enterprise-scale AI transformation initiatives.
