CBSE releases 2027 board exam schedule; tests begin February 16

The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the official examination schedule for its Class 10 and Class 12 board exams in 2027, with testing set to begin on February 16. The timetable was released 101 days in advance of the examination commencement date.

According to the CBSE notification, all examination papers across both classes will commence at 10:30 AM. The staggered schedule will accommodate a substantial number of subject examinations for students in each stream.

Class 10 students will appear in examinations across 83 subjects, while Class 12 candidates will sit for papers in 121 subjects. The comprehensive timetable covers the full range of streams and optional subjects available under the CBSE curriculum.

The early release of the examination schedule follows standard CBSE protocol, providing students, educators, and institutions with adequate preparation time. Schools and coaching centres across the country are expected to align their academic calendars accordingly to ensure optimal preparation for the board-level assessments.
