The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the examination schedule for winter-bound schools for the 2026-27 academic session, setting out dates for Class 10 and 12 practical examinations, project submissions and internal assessments.
According to the notification, all examinations and assessments for schools in snow-affected regions will be conducted between November 9 and December 19, 2026. The staggered timeline is designed to accommodate schools in areas that face winter weather disruptions, ensuring students in these regions have adequate time to complete their assessments.
The board has issued stringent guidelines to maintain examination integrity and prevent irregularities. Among the directives is a requirement for group photograph uploads during the examination process, alongside other procedural protocols aimed at ensuring fairness and transparency across all assessment centers.
Schools falling under the winter-bound category have been directed to adhere strictly to the prescribed schedule and follow all guidelines issued by the board. CBSE has emphasized that compliance with these instructions is mandatory for all affiliated institutions seeking to conduct examinations during this period.
