CBSE Sets October 21 Deadline for Accurate Student Data Submission
The Central Board of Secondary Education has directed all affiliated schools to submit error-free student information by October 21 ahead of the 2027 board examinations. The directive aims to ensure smooth processing of student records for the upcoming exam cycle.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a circular instructing school principals across the country to submit complete and accurate student data by October 21. The move is part of the board's preparation process for the 2027 board examinations and reflects efforts to streamline administrative procedures.
According to the directive, schools must verify all student details including names, roll numbers, registration information, and other biographical data before submission. Any discrepancies or errors in the submitted data could potentially delay exam processes or create complications during result declaration, the board has cautioned.
The CBSE emphasized that principals bear responsibility for ensuring data accuracy at the school level. Schools are required to cross-check all information against official records and rectify any inconsistencies before the deadline. The board has also made clear that submissions made after the October 21 date may not be accommodated.
This data collection exercise is a standard annual requirement for the CBSE, which oversees examinations for thousands of schools nationwide. The deadline provides schools with approximately three months to compile and verify student information, allowing sufficient time for corrections if needed.
Schools have been advised to establish internal verification committees to review student records systematically. The board stated that accurate data submission is essential for maintaining the integrity of the examination process and ensuring that students' results are processed without delays.
