CBSE Tightens Rules On Student Demographic Data Corrections

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has strengthened its guidelines governing the correction of student demographic details, mandating stricter compliance from educational institutions across the country.

Under the revised directions, schools have been instructed to meticulously follow all CBSE procedures during the student registration phase and when submitting Lists of Candidates (LOC). The board has emphasized that any amendments to student information must be handled with heightened scrutiny to prevent errors that could affect academic records.

A key requirement of the new directive is that schools must obtain explicit written confirmation from parents or guardians before implementing any changes to student demographic data.
