CBSE To Hold Special Class 12 Exams For West Asia Students

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to conduct fresh Class 12 board examinations in West Asian countries where the scheduled 2026 exams were unable to take place owing to prevailing regional tensions and security concerns.

The decision comes as a relief to thousands of Indian students pursuing their secondary education in Gulf nations and other West Asian countries who were left in limbo following the cancellation of regular examination schedules. CBSE's move underscores its commitment to providing equitable examination opportunities to all students regardless of geographic location.

The board will coordinate with Indian educational institutions and diplomatic missions in the affected West Asian nations to facilitate the smooth conduct of these special examinations. Students will be afforded the same examination standards and evaluation criteria as their counterparts appearing for regular board exams in India.
