CDL Hospitality Trust's net property income climbed to $36.7 million in the third quarter, up from $34.3 million in the prior-year period, reflecting improved performance across its portfolio despite mixed results domestically.
The trust's Singapore portfolio, however, proved to be a drag on overall results, with net property income falling 1.6% to $21.5 million. The decline suggests continued pressure on the domestic hospitality sector, which remains sensitive to tourism flows and business travel patterns in the city-state.
The broader growth in consolidated NPI was driven by contributions from the trust's overseas properties, indicating that international markets within its portfolio are performing more robustly than the Singapore segment. The regional diversification of CDL Hospitality Trust's assets helped cushion the impact of domestic market challenges.
The results underscore the ongoing recovery dynamics in Asia-Pacific hospitality markets, with performance varying across geographies as travel patterns continue to normalise following pandemic-related disruptions. CDL Hospitality Trust manages a portfolio of hotels across South and Southeast Asia, with Singapore representing a significant component of its asset base.
