Central team to assess Bihar flood damage as crisis deepens

A team from the central government is scheduled to visit Bihar on September 16 to conduct an on-the-ground assessment of damage caused by ongoing floods in the state, officials confirmed.

According to the latest data from the Bihar Disaster Management Department, the flooding has affected over 49.36 lakh people across 88 blocks spanning 15 districts. The scale of the crisis has prompted authorities to seek immediate central assistance and coordination to manage relief operations across the affected regions.
