Centre approves 500-acre expansion for RGNAU aerospace campus in UP

The Ministry has approved RGNAU's proposal to expand its aerospace operations across 500 additional acres at its Fursatganj campus in Amethi, with the Uttar Pradesh government directed to facilitate the land allocation. RGNAU Vice Chancellor B N Singh announced the development on Friday, confirming that the central approval has been forwarded to state authorities for implementation.

A survey is currently underway to identify and demarcate the required land parcel. Singh said a dedicated centre of excellence will be established once the state government completes the land transfer process. During a recent meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Singh received assurances that the allocation would be expedited.

The expansion project will establish state-of-the-art laboratories, research facilities and supporting infrastructure designed to strengthen India's capacity in higher education and innovation across aviation, aerospace and related sectors. The new facilities are expected to enhance research output and provide advanced learning environments for students pursuing careers in these high-technology fields.
