Cessna aircraft makes safe emergency landing in Cagayan

TUGUEGARAO CITY — A Cessna aircraft carrying two pilots made an emergency landing in Barangay Mapitac, Sto. Niño town, Cagayan on Thursday following engine failure during flight. The successful touchdown prevented what could have been a serious aviation incident in the northern Philippine region.
Captain John Lexter G. Visperas, 27, served as pilot-in-command of the aircraft, while Anubhaw Prasad, a 20-year-old Indian national undergoing student pilot training, occupied the second seat. Both men escaped injury in the emergency landing, according to initial reports.
The quick decision by the flight crew to execute the emergency procedure ensured the safety of everyone on board. Authorities in Cagayan responded to the incident, which has since been resolved without reported casualties or major damage.
