The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) has issued a clarification dismissing a fraudulent notice claiming that its wellness centres would remain closed during the NEET PG 2026 examination period. The fake notification, which circulated on social media and messaging platforms, falsely suggested that CGHS facilities would suspend operations to assist with examination-related duties.

In an official statement, CGHS authorities confirmed that wellness centres across its network will continue to function according to their regular schedules. The scheme stressed that no directive has been issued instructing the closure or temporary suspension of health services at these facilities.

The CGHS advised beneficiaries to disregard the spurious notice and assured them of uninterrupted access to wellness services. Health officials urged the public to verify information through official CGHS channels before acting on such communications, highlighting growing concerns about misinformation spreading through unverified digital sources.

This clarification comes as medical entrance examinations continue to generate significant public interest across India. The CGHS, which provides healthcare coverage to central government employees and pensioners, serves millions of beneficiaries through its network of hospitals, clinics, and wellness centres nationwide.
