Chelsea goalkeeper Martinez sidelined with jaw fracture from collision

Chelsea goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez will miss upcoming fixtures after fracturing his jaw in a collision with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite during the Premier League encounter on Saturday. Martinez was taken to hospital for treatment and assessment following the incident at Goodison Park. The club confirmed that the 32-year-old Argentine international is expected to return to action within the coming weeks pending medical clearance. The injury adds to Chelsea's injury concerns as the club navigates a busy fixture schedule during the remainder of the season. Martinez has been a key figure for Chelsea since his arrival, and his absence will see backup goalkeeper Robert Sanchez take on first-team duties until the Argentine returns to full fitness.
