Chennai's police and security agencies have rolled out an elaborate security protocol ahead of the Prime Minister's scheduled visit to the state capital. The multi-layered security arrangement encompasses five distinct tiers of protective measures designed to ensure safe passage and crowd management throughout the visit.
City Police Commissioner A. Amalraj chaired a high-level review meeting to coordinate the security preparations across various law enforcement and administrative departments. The comprehensive deployment involves more than 15,000 trained officers and personnel who will be stationed at strategic locations across the city.
The five-tier security framework is designed to create concentric rings of protection around the Prime Minister's movement and designated venues. Officials have coordinated with intelligence agencies, traffic police, and civil administration to ensure seamless implementation of the security plan.
The scale of the security operation reflects the protocols typically adopted for high-level national visits in metropolitan areas. Authorities have initiated traffic management measures and public communication campaigns to minimize disruption to regular city operations during the visit.
