KUALA TERENGGANU — The state of Terengganu has announced an honours list of 128 recipients in conjunction with Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin's 64th birthday celebration.
Chief Justice Tun Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh topped the honour roll, recognising his distinguished service to Malaysia's judiciary and legal system.
The honours list, released on September 6, recognises contributions across various sectors including public service, business, education, and community development. The recipients represent both federal and state-level appointees, reflecting the diverse achievements being celebrated.
The conferment of honours on the Sultan's birthday is an annual tradition in Terengganu, serving as a platform to recognise outstanding individuals who have contributed significantly to the state and nation. The 64th birthday milestone of Sultan Mizan, who ascended to the throne in 1998, marks another significant occasion for the state.
