ISKANDAR PUTERI — A primary school child was left with critical injuries following an unprovoked attack by eight stray dogs in the Iskandar Puteri area, prompting fresh calls for action against the growing pack problem.

The boy was set upon while in the vicinity, suffering multiple bite wounds across his body. He was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment, with medical staff confirming the severity of his injuries required immediate intervention.

The attack is the second incident reported at the same location in recent days. Earlier this week, a teenager narrowly escaped injury during an encounter with stray dogs in the area, though the individual managed to avoid serious harm.

Local authorities have been alerted to the recurring incidents. The back-to-back attacks have heightened safety concerns among residents and raised questions about stray animal management in the district. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding both incidents are understood to be underway.

Animal control officials are expected to step up patrols in the area to locate and contain the aggressive pack and prevent further attacks.
