The fatal accident took place around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday at a residential complex in Ghaziabad, according to officials. The child had wandered to the AC vent opening after the air conditioning unit had been removed for maintenance work.
The youngster fell through the shaft, resulting in fatal injuries. Emergency services were alerted, but the child could not be revived.
