A tragic accident claimed the life of an 11-year-old girl during a Ganesh procession in Damarapakam village, within Nagari police jurisdiction in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. According to police reports, the child was seated near the generator set that was supplying power to illuminate the procession when her hair became entangled in the equipment.

The incident occurred while the religious festival celebrations were underway in the village. Despite immediate efforts to help the injured girl, her condition deteriorated rapidly following the accident.

The child was rushed to a hospital in nearby Tirupati, but she succumbed to her injuries during transit. Police have registered the case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident at the procession site.
