Childless couple arrested for abducting five-month-old from Mathura station

Authorities in Uttar Pradesh have apprehended a childless couple from Murina in Madhya Pradesh in relation to the abduction of a five-month-old child from Mathura Railway Station. The infant was recovered in good health following the arrest.

Investigators said the couple, who had been unable to conceive, orchestrated the kidnapping as part of a deliberate scheme to obtain a child. The case came to light after the child disappeared from the railway station, prompting police to launch a swift investigation.

Based on leads developed during the inquiry, officers tracked down the accused couple in Murina and recovered the infant. The child was immediately reunited with family members.

Police said the case highlighted the growing issue of child abductions linked to childlessness and the black market for infants in the region. The arrested couple is being interrogated further to determine if they had connections to any larger trafficking networks. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
