City of Dreams Sri Lanka has achieved a significant milestone by earning two accolades at the World Travel Awards 2026, one of the tourism industry's most prestigious recognition programmes.
The integrated resort complex, located on the island nation's west coast, was recognized for excellence across multiple categories, underscoring its appeal to international and regional travellers seeking high-end hospitality experiences.
World Travel Awards evaluates destinations and hospitality providers globally based on quality of service, infrastructure, innovation, and overall visitor experience. The awards carry considerable weight within the travel and tourism sector, influencing traveller decisions and industry standards.
The dual recognition positions City of Dreams Sri Lanka as a competitive player in South Asia's luxury hospitality market, alongside established regional destinations. The accolades are expected to enhance the property's profile among international travel planners and affluent leisure travellers.
The awards reflect growing investment in Sri Lanka's tourism infrastructure and the country's efforts to diversify its visitor offerings beyond traditional beach and heritage attractions, supporting the broader economic recovery of the tourism sector.
