Civic body employees lodge complaint against fake IAS officer impersonator

The impersonator identified himself as Shivaprakash, claiming to hold the position of IAS officer and Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, DPAR. The association raised concerns about the potential for such impersonation to compromise institutional integrity and mislead government employees into unwarranted actions. The complaint has prompted civic authorities to heighten awareness among staff regarding verification protocols before responding to official directives, particularly those received through unsolicited telephone calls. Officials have recommended that employees cross-verify any directives allegedly from senior government officials through established departmental channels before taking action.
