Abhijeet Dipke, chief of the Chhatra Jagruti Pratishthan (CJP), has made an appeal to the organization's activists to spend time with their families and refrain from protest activities until after Diwali. The call comes amid heightened tensions within the movement following recent arrests.
Dipke acknowledged that prominent CJP members Saurabh Das and Ashutosh remain in custody, but stressed that such detentions would not deter the organization from its stated objectives. He emphasized that the movement's commitment remains unchanged despite the current challenges faced by detained colleagues.
Addressing his supporters, Dipke reiterated that the CJP's struggle is fundamentally opposed to hatred and division. He reaffirmed the movement's commitment to the principles of peace and non-violence championed by Mahatma Gandhi, framing the organization's work as rooted in these foundational ideals.
The appeal to observe a seasonal pause in activities reflects efforts by movement leadership to balance sustained activism with recognition of major festivals, while maintaining organizational cohesion during a period marked by legal pressures on key functionaries.
