CJP Founder Vows to Defy Arrests, Continue Flag Campaign

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), declared his resolve to continue nationwide campaigns with the national flag irrespective of legal consequences, during a protest meeting in Kochi on Saturday. Addressing activists gathered as part of the CJP's 'Jantar Mantar at Kochi' campaign, Dipke criticized what he termed government attempts to regulate citizens' dietary choices, personal relationships and voting rights.

Dipke referenced his recent arrest in Delhi alongside party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka for carrying the Tricolour to Jantar Mantar. "I was sent behind bars for raising this Tricolour. My brothers Saurav and Ashu were also imprisoned for it," he said, asserting that such restrictions harked back to colonial-era suppressions of freedom.

The CJP chief escalated criticism against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the government's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Dipke framed the ongoing agitation as part of a broader struggle for democratic accountability, stating the movement would persist until an independent and impartial electoral system was established in the country.

The Kochi gathering underscores growing activist concerns over electoral integrity and governmental constraints on civic expression in India's political landscape.
