A cohort of early-career researchers has received guidance on best practices in academic publishing from seasoned scholars at SRM University-A.P. during an intensive five-day boot camp designed to sharpen manuscript preparation skills.
Academic experts participating in the programme highlighted that clear communication and original thinking remain paramount for scholars seeking to establish themselves in competitive publishing landscapes. The emphasis on these core principles reflects growing recognition within academia that technical competence alone is insufficient for successful dissemination of research findings.
Among the facilitators was Allan Bird of Goa Institute of Management, a recognized figure in management scholarship, alongside Elizabeth L. Rose, Pro-Vice Chancellor and senior professor at ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education in Hyderabad. Their involvement underscored the programme's commitment to drawing on established expertise within India's higher education sector.
The boot camp represents one of several initiatives across Indian institutions aimed at strengthening research quality and publication rates. Such programmes are increasingly viewed as essential infrastructure for developing the next generation of scholars capable of contributing meaningfully to global academic discourse.
