Cleartrip rolls out Elite membership tier with instant perks

Cleartrip has introduced an Elite membership category designed to reward frequent travellers with a suite of benefits including reduced-cost flight date changes and significant hotel booking discounts. The programme marks the online travel agency's push to deepen customer loyalty through tiered membership advantages.

The Elite tier grants members the ability to modify flight bookings for a nominal fee of ₹9, streamlining travel adjustments typically associated with higher costs. Hotel bookings made through the platform attract a 20 per cent discount for Elite members, creating tangible savings on accommodation across Cleartrip's partner network.

A key feature of the launch is the automatic enrollment of eligible users from Flipkart's Gold membership and Myntra's Insider programme. Unlike traditional loyalty schemes that require users to meet spending milestones, Cleartrip is extending Elite benefits to these existing members without requiring them to complete preliminary booking targets, effectively lowering barriers to entry.

The move positions Cleartrip competitively within India's online travel services sector, where membership programmes have become standard differentiators among major platforms. By integrating with Flipkart and Myntra's customer bases, the platform gains access to millions of potential users already engaged in e-commerce loyalty ecosystems.
