CM Yogi Attacks Samajwadi Party's PDA Alliance, Warns Against Owaisi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party's recently formed PDA alliance during an event, characterizing the coalition as inconsistent and opportunistic. Adityanath reinterpreted the PDA acronym as "Parivar Development Authority," suggesting the alliance lacks coherent ideology and principles.

The Chief Minister's remarks came as part of broader criticism of opposition alliances in the state. He contended that the PDA coalition, which seeks to challenge the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh, shifts positions frequently to suit political convenience.

Adityanath also took aim at Asaduddin Owaisi, leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), asserting that political figures pursuing anti-national agendas have no place in Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister's comments reflect growing tensions between the ruling dispensation and opposition coalitions as the state prepares for electoral contests.

The PDA alliance, comprising multiple opposition parties, was formed to consolidate anti-BJP votes across social and religious lines. Adityanath's characterization suggests the ruling coalition views the opposition partnership as lacking sustainable political foundations and consistent policy positions.
